Benjamin Lauffer

Benjamin Lauffer graduated in 2007 at Manchester university and joined our practice in August 2013.

'I am very happy to be part of this team especially as I completed my work experience here at the age of 15 and Charles was one of my inspirations to become a dentist. I qualified in 2007 from Manchester university and have been working in hertfordshire for over 6 years, providing both private and nhs treatment. Patient understanding is vital to all aspects of my treatment but I believe in minimally invasive dentistry in a relaxed, modern environment.

I qualified in cFast and Smile Tru, a cosmetic orthodontic treatment, affording patients straight white teeth in 3-9 months. CFast is the most established, invisible, cosmetic orthodontic treatment on the market.

I also take a keen interest in root canal treatment and tooth coloured fillings.Outside of dentistry i have a growing family and when given the time a keen sportsman regularly playing football, golf and running.'

Charles Landau

Charles Landau graduated in 1973 at University College Hospital and has been here since 1975. He has a special interest in Cosmetic dentistry and helping with tooth reconstruction, including post-trauma situations.

"I qualified in 1973 from University College Hospital London. In 1975 I started working in Islington and was soon principal of the practice which I ran successfully for over thirty five years. I decided to relocate in 2014 , and create, a brand new ‘spa-like’, ‘state of the art’ modern surgery. It is my dream come true. It combines my and my team’s vast experience with the latest of technology for the benefit of patients. I take great pride in my work which is exclusively private. My philosophy is to take an holistic and conservative approach. I always, in consultation with the patient, discuss treatment options and advance ideas of ‘minimalist’ dentistry so that only treatment absolutely necessary is ever carried out. People today can have a beautiful smile and I take special interest in cosmetic dentistry including crowns, veneers, smile makeovers and all areas of tooth whitening. We have particular facilities for smile enhancement and tooth whitening procedures.Our pre-wedding smile beautification is very popular with all the family.

My interests include lecturing and writing on history and comparative religion with particular interest in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. I have been involved in the making of TV programmes, ghost speech writing, radio and advisor on stage plays. In my spare time I am a European history tour guide.

Sophie Goodman

Dr Sophie Goodman graduated from The University of Bristol in 2014. She has been providing both private and NHS dentistry at Charles Landau Dentistry sine 2015. During this time, Sophie has expanded her skills to include orthodontic treatment with clear aligners, cosmetic dentistry including the use of composite bonding, and injectable facial aesthetics treatments. Sophie’s patients appreciate her calm, reassuring nature and she is skilled at treating patients of all ages.

“I love being a part of the team here at CLD. I feel blessed to be able to look after my patients and provide good quality dental care and facial aesthetics in such an organised and beautiful practice. From general check-ups to full mouth cosmetic make-overs, I provide and enjoy all aspects of dentistry. My approach is very much a minimally-invasive one and it is important to me that my patients understand all options before we embark on any treatment together. I keep up to date with current research and advances in dental disease and treatments.

I have been providing facial aesthetics, including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, to patients since 2018. My ethos is a natural approach, helping to restore and enhance your natural beauty.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy keeping active, particularly running. I was fortunate enough to complete the 2022 London Marathon and am constantly looking and training for my next challenge!”

Nicholas Weir

Nick Weir graduated from The University of Manchester in 2017 and joined the practice in September 2018.

"I qualified from The University of Manchester in 2017, achieving a regional award for the management and restoration of complex tooth malformations in children. After graduating I completed foundation training linked to the Eastman Dental Institute instilling a passion for minimally invasive dentistry and continuing professional development. My particular interests include placing tooth coloured restorations, and cosmetic enhancement procedures using Invisalign and composite bonding. I have a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing smiles which protect and enhance the natural function of the teeth.

My ethos lies in providing the highest quality evidence based dentistry while getting to know each patient on a personal level, with a strong focus on preventative dentistry. I believe this allows me to tailor my treatment to meet the individual needs of my patients and provide dentistry in a relaxed and caring manner. I have completed a year long course in Advanced Operative Aesthetic and Restorative dentistry with the Aspire Dental Academy, I have obtained a postgraduate Diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy and I am currently studying for a postgraduate diploma in Prosthodontics. This allows me to utilise the latest techniques and technology available for my patients.

Outside of work I am a keen traveller, and have visited much of South America and Southeast Asia. I enjoy playing golf, watching Everton Football Club as a season ticket holder and trying new restaurants in London. I look forward to meeting all my patients and showcasing the fantastic range of services and treatments we are able to offer"

Ellie McKeagney

Associate Dentist

Ellie McKeagney graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2020, and joined the team in June 2023.

“I am very excited to be part of the team here at CLD. I provide both NHS and private dentistry, and always aim to provide patient-centred treatment in a relaxed environment. I am a firm believer that prevention is better than cure, and always focus on providing conservative dentistry. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, and love the wide variety of both patients and treatments it brings. After graduating, I completed foundation training and worked in Glasgow for a few years, where I achieved postgraduate examinations with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2022 (MFDS). I have also recently finished a year long course learning how to restore implants. I am currently studying for a PGCert in ‘Advanced Operative Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry’. When I am not doing dentistry; I enjoy exercise, trying new restaurants with friends, and going back to Ireland to visit family when I get the chance!”

Rachel Ogunleye

Meet Rachel, a valued member of our team who earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Peninsula Dental School in June 2022. Upon completing her foundation training in Loughton, Essex she embarked on her journey with us in September 2023.

During her undergraduate years, Rachel's received scholarships from both Santander and the Afro-Caribbean Dental Association for her academic achievements

Rachel is dedicated to remaining at the forefront of dentistry by staying current with the latest research and techniques. Her contributions to the British Dental Journal, where she has authored opinion and educational articles, underscore her commitment to advancing dental knowledge.

Her professional dedication extends to her ongoing pursuit of continued professional development. She is diligently honing her skills in all aspects of general dentistry, including aesthetic dentistry and oral surgery to provide a high standard of care to her patients.

Rachel offers both private and NHS dentistry, emphasizing preventive care, minimally invasive procedures, and a patient-centered approach. She recognizes that a dental visit can be intimidating for some and is devoted to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all our patients.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Rachel finds joy in spending quality time with loved ones and exploring new experiences. She is also deeply passionate about giving back to the community, regularly participating in dental outreach programs and educational initiatives.

Minnie Diamond

Hygientist/Therapist

Minnie graduated from Birmingham University in July 2022 in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Minnie joined our practice in October 2022 and will be offering Hygiene and Therapy appointments.

‘I have a particular interest in paediatric dentistry and am looking forward to working with the friendly team at Charles Landau Dentistry.

Outside of dentistry I enjoy spending time with my friends as well as drawing, painting and playing piano’

Karen Suarez

Karen is our practice manager and has been with us since 1991, qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1993 and went on to qualify as an Oral Health Educator with Distinction , she is also a qualified extended duties nurse. Karen is a Specialist Dental Advisor for the CQC, Good Practice Assessor/Consultant for The BDA and Presiding Examiner and Committee member for the NEBDN. Karen is a School Governor and safeguarding lead for a secondary school and has also been accepted and looking forward to joining the Fitness to Practice Panellists for the GDC in 2025. Karen has a wealth of knowledge and has experience working with various dental organiastions.

In her spare time Karen enjoys Salsa dancing, entertaining and reading.

Grace Delappe

Grace will be here to welcome and greet you at reception; she has been working in dentistry since 1980 and has a wealth of experience. Grace has been with our practice since 1993 and enjoys watching TV series and socialising with friends.

Anisha Halai

Reception and Nurse

Anisha trained and qualified here and the came back in May 2023.

Anisha enjoys dancing, singing, reading and travelling. Anisha speak Gujarati and Hindi and is our water safety lead

Rebecca Barbour

Rebecca joined us in September 2021 as dental nurse and qualified for her City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in June 2017. Rebecca is one of our First Aiders and is our Decontamination lead.

Rebecca enjoys organising (anything!) shopping, eating out and spending time with friends and family.

Courtney Lambourne

Courtney joined us in July 2021, trained and qualified with us in March 2023. Courtney enjoys painting, exploring new places and spending time with friends and family. Courtney is our Fire Marshall.

Renae Rowe

Apprentice Dental Nurse

Renae has been with us since January 2023 and is an apprentice dental nurse studying with Harriet Ellis. Renae enjoys painting and beauty.

Lilla Barcza

Apprentice Dental Nurse

Lilla has been with us since October 2023 and is an Apprentice Dental Nurse studying with Harriet Ellis. Lilla speaks Hungarian and enjoys art, going to the gym and reading.

Surya Sadasivan

Apprentice Dental Nurse

Surya has been with us since October 2023 and is a qualified dentist but is training to be a dental nurse whilst waiting for her course to come through to convert her qualification. Surya speaks Malayalam and Hindi, and enjoys mediation, reading, yoga and spending time in parks.

Maria Smau

Trainee Dental Nurse

Maria joined us in January 2024 and is studying with NLDC for her National Diploma in Dental Nursing. Maria enjoys spending time with her family and is fluent in Romanian.
