Benjamin Lauffer

Dr. Benjamin Lauffer — Principal Dentist & Practice Owner
Dr. Benjamin Lauffer graduated from the University of Manchester in 2007 and first joined Charles Landau Dentistry in 2013.
Having completed his work experience at the practice, at the age of 15, he has always felt a strong connection to the team and credits Charles as one of his early inspirations to pursue a career in dentistry. In 2017, he proudly became Principal Dentist and now serves as the practice’s owner. With extensive experience, Dr. Lauffer is committed to patient comfort, clarity, and trust. He believes in minimally invasive dentistry delivered in a calm, relaxed and modern environment. His clinical interests include root canal treatment and prevention, where patient reassurance is always at the forefront.

Outside of the surgery, Benjamin is a dedicated single father to his three children, whom he considers his greatest achievement.

When life allows, he enjoys staying active—often found playing/managing football or in the gym!

Above all, he is immensely proud of the practice and the outstanding team who help maintain its warm, patient-focused reputation.

Charles Landau

Charles Landau graduated in 1973 at University College Hospital and has been here since 1975. He has a special interest in Cosmetic dentistry and helping with tooth reconstruction, including post-trauma situations.

"I qualified in 1973 from University College Hospital London. In 1975 I started working in Islington and was soon principal of the practice which I ran successfully for over thirty five years. I decided to relocate in 2014 , and create, a brand new ‘spa-like’, ‘state of the art’ modern surgery. It is my dream come true. It combines my and my team’s vast experience with the latest of technology for the benefit of patients. I take great pride in my work which is exclusively private. My philosophy is to take an holistic and conservative approach. I always, in consultation with the patient, discuss treatment options and advance ideas of ‘minimalist’ dentistry so that only treatment absolutely necessary is ever carried out. People today can have a beautiful smile and I take special interest in cosmetic dentistry including crowns, veneers, smile makeovers and all areas of tooth whitening. We have particular facilities for smile enhancement and tooth whitening procedures.Our pre-wedding smile beautification is very popular with all the family.

My interests include lecturing and writing on history and comparative religion with particular interest in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. I have been involved in the making of TV programmes, ghost speech writing, radio and advisor on stage plays. In my spare time I am a European history tour guide.

Nicholas Weir

Nick Weir graduated from The University of Manchester in 2017 and joined the practice in September 2018.

"I qualified from The University of Manchester in 2017, achieving a regional award for the management and restoration of complex tooth malformations in children. After graduating I completed foundation training linked to the Eastman Dental Institute instilling a passion for minimally invasive dentistry and continuing professional development. My particular interests include placing tooth coloured restorations, and cosmetic enhancement procedures using Invisalign and composite bonding. I have a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing smiles which protect and enhance the natural function of the teeth.

My ethos lies in providing the highest quality evidence based dentistry while getting to know each patient on a personal level, with a strong focus on preventative dentistry. I believe this allows me to tailor my treatment to meet the individual needs of my patients and provide dentistry in a relaxed and caring manner. I have completed a year long course in Advanced Operative Aesthetic and Restorative dentistry with the Aspire Dental Academy, I have obtained a postgraduate Diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy and I am currently studying for a postgraduate diploma in Prosthodontics. This allows me to utilise the latest techniques and technology available for my patients.

Outside of work I am a keen traveller, and have visited much of South America and Southeast Asia. I enjoy playing golf, watching Everton Football Club as a season ticket holder and trying new restaurants in London. I look forward to meeting all my patients and showcasing the fantastic range of services and treatments we are able to offer"

Ellie McKeagney

Associate Dentist

Ellie McKeagney graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2020, and joined the team in June 2023.

“I am very excited to be part of the team here at CLD. I provide both NHS and private dentistry, and always aim to provide patient-centred treatment in a relaxed environment. I am a firm believer that prevention is better than cure, and always focus on providing conservative dentistry. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, and love the wide variety of both patients and treatments it brings. After graduating, I completed foundation training and worked in Glasgow for a few years, where I achieved postgraduate examinations with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2022 (MFDS). I have also recently finished a year long course learning how to restore implants. I am currently studying for a PGCert in ‘Advanced Operative Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry’. When I am not doing dentistry; I enjoy exercise, trying new restaurants with friends, and going back to Ireland to visit family when I get the chance!”

Cailen Ghadiali

Cailen Ghadiali graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2023 and joined the practice in September 2024.

He has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry, and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Implant Dentistry.

Cailen is our Safeguarding Lead.

"I graduated in Birmingham in 2023, where I developed a passion for consistently providing the best treatment for patients in a relaxing and comfortable environment. Throughout my foundation year in South Manchester, I worked with patients to ensure healthy smiles through prevention and minimally invasive restorations, enhancing my skills while always having a patient-centred approach. I am excited to be working at CLD and providing a high-quality service alongside the team here."

"I enjoy the variety of general dentistry and am constantly looking to keep my knowledge and skills up to date with the latest techniques, particularly when providing aesthetic and natural-looking tooth-coloured restorations, and also implants so that I can provide a fixed option for patients that are missing teeth."

"Outside of work, I love trying all the latest food spots, including travelling to new countries and sampling their local cuisines. I play a lot of sports, these days mainly football, golf and occasionally snowboarding. I try to go to watch Nottingham Forest when I can, and when I inevitably need something to de-stress after, I enjoy getting outdoors and meeting up with friends and family."

Dr Martin Zunde

Dr Martin Zunde joined us in April 2025 and has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality care.

He graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2010. In 2011 he joined his first private practice and 2 years later went on to own the practice.

Over the course of 5 years he grew the offering of the practice to include dental and facial aesthetics , implantology, Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry. We are excited to have Dr Martin Zunde join us here at CLD.

Minnie Diamond

Hygientist/Therapist

‘Minnie graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2022 with a dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, allowing me to provide a wide range of dental care. Minnie joined our practice in October 2022 and will be offering Hygiene and Therapy appointments.Since graduating, I have gained valuable experience in periodontics, restorative and preventative dentistry.
I’m passionate about delivering personalised care that meets the individual needs of each patient, ensuring a caring, comfortable, and stress free experience. My goal is to continue growing professionally as part of a forward thinking, innovative team, with the goal of providing exceptional care for every patient and to bring confidence to every smile.
When I’m not in the clinic, I love unwinding with a good book, expressing my creativity through drawing and painting, keeping up with fashion, and enjoying quality time with family and friends.

Karen Suarez

R.D.N.O.H.E

Karen has been an integral part of our practice since 1991. She qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1993, later achieving Distinction as an Oral Health Educator, and is also a qualified extended duties nurse.

Karen brings extensive expertise to her role. She serves as a Specialist Dental Advisor for The   Care Quality Commission , a Good Practice Scheme assessor  for The   British Dental Association , and a Presiding Examiner and Subject Matter Expert for The  National Examining Board of Dental Nurses . In addition, she is a Safeguarding Lead and Foundation School Governo r  at a local secondary school. In 2025, Karen was appointed as a General Dental Council  Fitness to Practice panellist.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience across a range of dental organisations, Karen is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards within our practice.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys salsa dancing, entertaining, and reading.

Grace Delappe

Grace will be here to welcome and greet you at reception; she has been working in dentistry since 1980 and has a wealth of experience. Grace has been with our practice since 1993 and enjoys watching TV series and socialising with friends.

Anisha Halai

Reception and Nurse

Anisha trained and qualified here and the came back in May 2023.

Anisha enjoys dancing, singing, reading and travelling. Anisha speak Gujarati and Hindi and is our Radiation Protection Supervisor deputy

Courtney Lambourne

Courtney joined us in July 2021, trained and qualified with us in March 2023. Courtney enjoys painting, exploring new places and spending time with friends and family. Courtney is our head nurse, decontamination lead and Fire Marshall.

Renae Rowe

Renae has been with us since January 2023 and has trained and qualified in September 2024. Renae enjoys painting and beauty. Renae is our water safety lead.

Lilla Barcza

Lilla joined our team in October 2023 and has been contributing as a Dental Nurse since then. She recently achieved her qualification here in May 2025, further strengthening her expertise and commitment to her role.She speaks Hungarian and enjoys art, going to the gym and reading. Lilla is our emergency drug and stock lead.

Maria Smau

Maria joined us in January 2024 and is studying with NLDC for her National Diploma in Dental Nursing. Maria enjoys spending time with her family and is fluent in Romanian.

Salma Abdullahi

Trainee Nurse

Salma has been with us since April 24 and is studying her NEBDN Diploma with NLDC. Salma enjoys social media and is fluent in Somali.

Zarin Hiya

Trainee Dental Nurse

Zarin joined us in May 2025 and is training for her NEBDN National Diploma with The School of Dental Nursing. Zarin speaks Bangla, Urdu and Hindi and enjoys cooking, travelling and drawing.
